A drive across the county to store your belongings is only justified if the site itself stands up to scrutiny. Our Blackburn facility, serving Leyland and central Lancashire, is fenced throughout with controlled gated access, plus:

24-hour CCTV coverage - High-definition cameras watch every part of the Blackburn site around the clock, so your unit stays covered whether you've driven home to Leyland or gone away for weeks.

PIN-code entry system - Each customer holds a code of their own, keeping the building shut to anyone without one — and every arrival is logged against the person it was issued to.

Well-lit access areas - Well-lit corridors and access areas, so an evening visit feels no different to one in daylight. Meaning an evening trip up from Leyland feels no different to one in broad daylight.

Regular site checks by staff - Our team inspects the site on a regular basis, so the security stays solid and every unit remains clean, dry and in good condition.

Trusted Storage Solutions Near Leyland

We’ve been storing people’s belongings since 1995 — better than 25 years spent keeping possessions secure, prices sensible and doors open whenever customers need them. Leyland has access to all that at our Blackburn site, in purpose-built units maintained by people who know every inch of the place.

A few boxes from the loft, the contents of an entire home, or the tools and stock a business runs on — everything receives the same attention, the same protection and the same uncomplicated service. That’s why Leyland customers keep returning.

About Leyland

Leyland is a town of roughly 37,000 in South Ribble, built on lorries and still carrying that industrial character today. Housing runs from older terraces around Earnshaw Bridge and Moss Side to the newer estates at Broadfield and Clayton Brook, with Farington, Lostock Hall and Bamber Bridge close at hand.

It’s a town that works with its hands, and tradespeople need somewhere dry to keep tools and materials overnight. Meanwhile firms on the Farington and Moss Side estates run into the familiar problem — outgrowing the unit years before the lease lets them move, and paying industrial rates to warehouse stock that barely shifts.

There’s a simpler answer along the M6 and M65. SCA Self Storage Blackburn sits on Glenfield Park off Philips Road, open to you whenever you need it.

Getting Started with SCA Self Storage Near Leyland
Removal team entering the storage facility

Booking storage shouldn’t be the fiddly part of a move. We’ve reduced it to four steps, and most Leyland customers have a unit held within a few minutes.

The steps:

  • Get an Instant Quote – Look through Leyland storage unit sizes and prices online, or phone and ask. Every rate is quoted in full, terms stay flexible, and new customers can take 55% off for up to 12 weeks.
  • Reserve Your Unit – Book it online, over the phone, or in person at the Blackburn site. Nothing is charged until the day you move.
  • Move In – Park up outside, bring your things in, and move straight into a clean, dry indoor unit.
  • Access Anytime – Open to you every hour of every day. Early mornings and late nights bother nobody here.

Everything else you need is on our Blackburn Self Storage page — relied on by households and businesses across Leyland and South Ribble.

Comprehensive Security Measures for Your Peace of Mind

Entrusting your possessions to a site a drive away is a reasonable thing to hesitate over, and we’d sooner prove ourselves than simply reassure you. The Blackburn facility is arranged so nothing moves in or out without being recorded — the question Leyland customers ask first, and fairly so.

What keeps your unit safe:

  • CCTV Monitoring – High-definition cameras record continuously, covering the entrance, the entrance, corridors and every unit.
  • Motion-Activated Lighting – Movement brings the lights on instantly, discouraging anyone without business here and making evening visits easy.
  • Secure Perimeter Fencing – A solid screened fence surrounds the entire site, with one controlled gate as the only way through, keeping the contents hidden from the road.
  • Keyless App Access – Each unit opens with keyless app access from your phone, so there’s no padlock to buy, bring or lose.
  • Individually Locked Units – Every unit takes a heavy-duty sliding bolt padlock recessed within a tamper-proof lock box, comfortably beyond bolt croppers.

Furniture, personal belongings or commercial stock — the same protection covers all of it at SCA Self Storage Blackburn, a genuinely secure choice for Leyland and South Ribble.

Choosing the Best Storage Provider near Leyland
Indoor Storage Unit - SCA Self Storage Rotherham

Storage is easy enough to find around Leyland; the harder question is which provider still works for you once the introductory rate has run out. Three reasons people come to us:

  • Affordable Options – Simple four-week billing, rates that improve the longer you stay, and 55% off for up to 12 weeks to begin. Been quoted less for the same size and terms? Bring it before move-in and we’ll match the figure.
  • Convenient Location – The M6 and M65 carry you out of Leyland and drop you at Glenfield Park. No town-centre queues and free parking outside.
  • Range of Units – From wardrobe-sized spaces for a handful of boxes to larger indoor rooms for business stock and bulky furniture. Change size the moment the job does.

Set that against genuine round-the-clock access, security that survives close inspection, and 25 years doing this properly, and SCA Self Storage Blackburn earns a place on any Leyland shortlist — chosen on what it offers, not on distance.

Why SCA Self Storage is Leyland's Preferred Choice
